Ashlee Simpson celebrates upcoming wedding with bridal shower

Ashlee Simpson celebrated her final days as a single lady over the weekend (09-10Aug14) with a bridal shower hosted at her sister Jessica's Los Angeles home.

The Outta My Head singer/actress is engaged to wed Diana Ross' son Evan and the couple is reportedly planning to tie the knot later this month (Aug14).

Jessica Simpson, a newlywed herself, helped her little sister mark the occasion by inviting Ashlee's friends and the female members of their family into her mansion for a pool party, and she shared snaps from the bash with fans on Instagram.com.

In one picture of the whole group wearing floral headpieces, Jessica wrote, "All the beauties celebrating... I love you Ash".

Evan Ross proposed to Ashlee in January (14).

The union will be the groom's first, while his bride was previously married to rocker Pete Wentz from 2008 to 2011. They are parents to son Bronx.
