Angelina Jolie predicted her future in early script
Angelina Jolie foretold her future in 1999 when she wrote a story about a girl who chose to undergo a double mastectomy as her mother was dying of breast cancer.
Jolie's script for a film, titled Skins, was written when she was 24, eight years before her mother, Marcheline, passed away following a battle with ovarian cancer.
The Tomb Raider actress later took preventative measures to reduce
her cancer risk by undergoing a double mastectomy in 2013, and
earlier this month (Mar15), she had her ovaries and fallopian tubes
removed after a doctor detected a possible early sign of the
disease.
A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, "(Skins) was a
harrowing read, it was really, really sad. It is so similar to
Angelina's own story, although when she wrote it she would have had
absolutely no idea. It was even before she knew her mother
Marcheline was ill and several years before she died. It's like she
based the character on herself... only she couldn't possibly have
done."
The details of the script were revealed in a biography by Andrew
Morton.
