Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn were inseparable during Snatched shoot

Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn became such good friends while filming new comedy Snatched in Hawaii, they became FaceTime pals so they could enjoy a drink together.

Schumer persuaded the veteran funnywoman to return to the big screen for the first time in 15 years to play her mom, and the pair quickly became inseparable.

In fact, when they weren't filming together, they hooked up on their cellphones so they could wind down at the end of the day with a glass of wine.

"We would FaceTime," Amy tells news show Extra. "We would stay on different parts of Oahu, but we would FaceTime and drink, so it was like we were drinking together... We had the best time!"

Goldie adds, "I didn't want to go home, I had so much fun on the set with Amy, doing all the stuff we did."

And the film has given the Private Benjamin star the incentive she needed to get back into films after a long break: "It lights a fire, but it's all about the project," she says. "I'm having a great time, we're thinking about a few things."

But it took Amy months to persuade Hawn to play her mom in the adventure comedy, about a mother and daughter caught up in a drama while on vacation.

"I read the script and I was like, 'That's me and Goldie Hawn'," Amy recalls. "I just believed it would happen, we manifested it, a couple times I ran into her and I was like, 'I'm Amy', and she's like, 'OK, honey...' Eventually it became real and she was like, 'OK, I will look at the script', and then we fought to make it together."

Goldie turned her back on Hollywood to focus her attention on a campaign to help kids reduce their stress levels.

"I found an interest in something else, the well-being of children, and I literally created a program and produced it... for children to be able to reduce stress," she explains. "It's pretty seductive when you see children respond to some of the things you help them to do."

Snatched hits cinemas in May (17).
