Adele has throat surgery in America

Adele has undergone laser throat surgery in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Steven Zeitels, who performed micro-surgery on Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler in 2006, hopes to have the British singer hitting the high notes again following a procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday (07Nov11).

The 23 year old was forced to scrap a series of dates following a throat problem earlier this year (11).

She agreed to surgery to prevent a possible rupture from a benign polyp, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Adele is expected to make a full recovery.
