Adele back on top despite Grammys gaffe

Adele has scored another TransAtlantic chart double after returning to the top of the Billboard 200 album countdown following an unfortunate performance at the Grammy Awards last week (15Feb16).

The singer suffered technical difficulties onstage at the prizegiving and sounded off-key as she performed All I Ask, but the effort appears to have been enough to get her album 25 back to the top for a ninth non-consecutive week.

The album returned to the top of the U.K. charts on Friday (12Feb16).

Justin Bieber, who picked up his first Grammy on Monday and performed during the ceremony, has also scored a chart boost - his album Purpose rises three spots to two, while Rihanna's Anti stays put at number three.

Terminally ill country singer Joey Feek has been given something to smile about as she battles cancer in an Indiana hospice - Hymns, her new album with husband Rory, debuts at four, and album Hymns, at No. 4. The effort bows with 70,000 units (68,000 in pure album sales), logging their first top 10 album on the Billboard Chris Stapleton’s Best Country Album Grammy winner, Traveler, rides back into the top five at five.
