Top 5 Craziest Moments from the "How To Get Away With Murder" Season Finale!

Written by Nicole Koch. Published: February 27 2015

OH EM GEE, you guys! Please tell me you watched the season finale of "How to Get Away with Murder"… If you haven’t, you’re going to flip! I’m so sad to see the show go (for now), but wow, what an intense way to go out! The finale still has me going in circles about who did what and who did what with whom!

If you haven’t watched the finale yet, you should probably stop reading right now -- WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD. Here are the top five craziest moments from the season finale!

1. Rebecca lied about everything.

Ugh, this girl drives me nuts! Kudos to the writers for making the audience go in circles about what’s the truth and what’s a lie. We find out she is DEFINITELY involved in the Lila murder case. She confesses to her boo, Wes, about being in the water tank with Lila. Remember in last week’s episode when Wes and Michaela visit Rudy (Rebecca’s neighbor) in the psych ward and he mutters, “wet” when asked about her? Turns out, Rebecca was soaking wet from finding Lila in the water tank. And then we also find out that, because Rebecca was afraid Rudy would tell the cops, she gave him PCP and “Purple X”, which caused him to have a mental breakdown, making him scratch his bedroom walls until his fingertips bled. Rebecca then called the cops and Rudy was taken away. Finally solved that whole thing.

2. Sam didn’t kill Lila! Technically speaking.

IT WAS FRANK. YES, FRANK. And he just got done telling Laurel he wasn’t a “hit man”. LIES!!! So, here’s how it goes down: The night of her death, Lila went up to the roof after catching Rebecca and Griffin hooking up. Sam meets her on the roof, trying to convince her that he loves her and wants to be with her. Lila makes it clear that she doesn’t want an abortion, which probably prompts Sam’s next move -- he tells Lila he has to tell Annalise right away about not loving her anymore. The next thing we see is Sam calling an unknown source saying, “I need you to do what we talked about. You owe me.” What for? Who knows? All of a sudden, we see Lila being strangled to death on the roof. Leather gloves protect the killer’s hands as she fights for her life. The camera pans to the killer’s face, and it’s in fact... FRANK. You are sooo a hitman, Frank. Damn.

3. Michaela’s ring is returned.

Oh, Laurel. You sneaky girl, you! Remember when the students were burying Sam’s body and Michaela lost her engagement ring? Turns out, Laurel had it all along! Near the end of the episode, the two girls sit down at a bar, trying to enjoy their potentially last night as free people. Laurel calmly places the engagement ring in front of Michaela and confesses that she kept it from her so Michaela would keep quiet. If Michaela thought her engagement ring was out there ready for police to find, she would continue to help the team stay innocent. It was the only thing really tying her to Sam’s murder. Damn, Laurel, you got those lawyer brains for sure.

4. Oliver tests positive.

For HIV. Aw no! I didn’t know this episode would get so depressing. The adorbs couple thought it would be smart to take precautions before taking major steps forward in their relationship. Oliver asks Connor to get tested for STDs, since Connor has a promiscuous past. While Connor’s test comes back negative, Oliver reveals he isn’t so lucky.

5. Rebecca is found…

DEAD. Yep, that's right. So, we solve one murder mystery, and ABC decides to leave us with another one. WHO DID IT??? In the middle of the finale, Annalise goes down to her basement to get Rebecca, who has been tied up since the start of the episode, to confess. The team hears Annalise scream Rebecca’s name in horror since Rebecca is gone! Where’d Rebecca go? The writers have us believing that Rebecca somehow escaped out of the basement, but no. As the episode closes, we see Annalise go back down into the basement. Frank is standing there, and Annalise questions his intentions. “Was it you?” Frank responds, “No, Annalise, you know I’m not that guy.” (LIAR!!!) He continues, “Besides, I thought it was you.” Annalise says, “Of course not.” And Frank says, “Now what?” And the camera pans to dead Rebecca’s body in the smallest corner of the basement. Dun-dun-DUN!

Intense, right? Also, what does Rebecca’s text, “Eggs 911. Lawyer’s house.” mean? Dying to find out what happens next season, which premieres this Fall (no exact date yet). Since we all have a ways to wait, here’s a quick little teaser for Season Two:
