The Top 5 Hottest Colors of NY Fashion Week 2014!

Written by Nicole Koch. Published: September 15 2014

That’s all, folks!

New York Fashion week has just about wrapped, after spoiling us with eight fashion-filled days. It’s always an exciting and dramatic time watching the designers compete to see who will reign the runway. After following the shows closely, it didn’t take me long to notice which colors were the major stand-outs for this upcoming season! Here are the top 5 hottest colors of the Spring 2015 line:

1. Chilly Blue

This gorgeous eerie blue hit the runway hard as almost every designer presented this color. Major designers like Honor, Zimmermann, and Christian Siriano are only three out of the many who encompassed this icy hue.

2. Fresh White

White, typically known as a staple summer color, was a popular choice among the designers. Major designers like Calvin Klein, Tadashi Shoji, and Jill Stewart were just some of the ones who shucked post-Labor Day tradition and took advantage of this crisp white color. Simple, yet classic.

3. Lemon Yellow

Say goodbye to mustard yellow! This sunny and happy hue was popping up all over the shows, including Michael Kors, DVF, and Delpozo. The perfect way to brighten up your spring wardrobe.

4. Cherry Red

Hey, hot sirens. Not ready to give up the holiday red? Zac Posen and Donna Karan showed brilliance while incorporating this unexpected hue into their lines. I was pleasantly surprised.

5. Light Rose

Pink! My favorite color. Oscar De La Renta, Monique Lhuillier, and a lot of other designers chose to showcase this delicate color. The ultimate way to flirt yourself into Spring.

There you have it! I hope this list of the top hottest colors of NY Fashion Week will keep you perfectly on trend this Spring!
