Written by Rita Korkounian. Published: July 03 2023

Sizzle kings and queens, it’s time for the ultimate grill-off! If the smoky smell of barbecue makes your heart skip a beat, then join me in celebrating National Grilling Month! Yup, that’s right, a whole month dedicated to grilling! I think I hear the angels singing! Well, it’s time to share some savory, mouthwatering, and finger-licking-good recipes that are sure to kick your hunger into high gear! But, before we continue, I must ask two very important questions: Are you ready? Will you bring it? Light. Up. Those. Grills.

Grilled Foil Pack Cheesy Fries - I love the idea of cheesy fries being served to guests in individual foil packets! This super easy side dish will be enjoyed by all. Cheese, bacon bits, and fries definitely make for a too-good-to-be-true trio!

Bacon Wrapped Corn - I bet you’ve never tasted Bacon. Wrapped. Corn. And if you have, I’m super jealous. This is something you could really sink your teeth into. In fact, it’s so doggone good that your teeth may never want to part ways with this extra special corn on the cob. A wonderful Summertime treat.

Cedar Plank Salmon - “There is nothing better than heading outside to cook dinner when the weather warms up. Our family loves traditional grilled fare like hamburgers and hotdogs, but what we really enjoy cooking on our grill during the summer is seafood. There is something about the lightly enhanced smokey flavor of grilled seafood that makes it seem like the ideal summer meal.”

Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers - Your milkshake may not bring all the boys to the yard, but these turkey burgers definitely will! If you’re looking for a flavorful, moist, tender, and juicy turkey burger recipe, this is it. While these turkey burgers have no secret ingredients, you’ll be amazed by the powerful punch the feta, spinach, and roasted garlic deliver.

Grilled Avocados with Black Bean & Sweet Corn Pico De Gallo - “If you’ve never grilled an avocado, you’re missing out. Once you’ve eaten a grilled avocado your life changes for the better. There’s something magical about a grilled avocado – it becomes a tad bit butterier, a bit more flavorful, more rich, more delicious. Top the grilled deliciousness with homemade black bean and sweet corn pico de gallo and you’ll hear moans of delight from all.”

BBQ Chicken Kebabs - Excuse me while I interrupt your bacon dreams and fantasies, but I can’t help but share this extra special bacon-related news. This is not your mama’s BBQ chicken kebab recipe. These chicken kebabs are coated in -- wait for it -- BACON PASTE. Well, whaddya know! “Don’t go bacon my heart / I couldn’t if I fried....” This recipe is definitely worth a hoot and a holler (and some)! Serve these wonderfully smoky and slightly sweet chicken kebabs at your next backyard barbecue!

Mexican Street Corn Quinoa Salad - This is for all of you Mexican food lovers out there! If you’re looking for a delicioso ensalada, I’ve got one right here, my friends! This corn quinoa salad is so fresh, you’ll crave nothing more on hot Summer nights.

Best-Ever Barbecued Ribs - As I mentioned earlier, I love the smoky smell of barbecue. And, frankly, nothing smells better than barbecued ribs on the grill. I thoroughly enjoy taking long walks around the neighborhood and breathing in that aromatic Summer air! This recipe most definitely passes the smell test with flying colors, but the taste test... well, friends, it’s off the charts! Enjoy!

Steak Marinade - One last one, meat lovers. This marinade may appeal to the steak purists out there! It’s called “the best steak marinade in existence”, and reviewers say “it lives up to its name”. Comes highly recommended by many people who have tried this recipe! P.S. I apologize to all the vegans and vegetarians for these meat-heavy recipes!

Summertime Grilled Bread - A side of bread is a must at any cookout! Blogger Jessica shows us four creative ways to grill bread! Something sweet and savory for everyone, including spicy avocado mash, stuffed pepperazzi with balsamic glaze, caprese with pesto cream, and vanilla bean whipped ricotta with peaches. Yum.

Grilled Espresso Glazed Coconut Doughnuts - Where do I even start? Grilled. Doughnuts. What in the world?! Thank goodness I don’t fire up the grill on the daily. Good lord. So you start with a basic doughnut recipe, but you swap out the regular milk for coconut milk. Then, you drench the doughnut in an espresso-coconut glaze. Next comes the part where you throw the doughnuts on the grill. Last, you dip it in the mocha coconut ganache. Some words used to describe these doughnuts include “ingenious”, “groundbreaking stuff”, “sheer brilliance”, “heavenly”, “divine”, and “naugthy”. Amen to all of the above -- especially naughty!

Grilled Vanilla Bean Mascarpone Peaches - This is a rave-worthy recipe! The taste and presentation is absolutely, positively OUTSTANDING! There are no words for the salted bourbon caramel. Alls I have to say is, tasting is believing.

“Nature gives to every season a beauty all its own.” But I would say nature gives Summer a little something extra. Wouldn’t you agree? Let’s make the Summer of 2023 one to remember! Time to gather our friends, neighbors, and family members to celebrate National Grilling Month! Who’s down for a block party? Like the biggest block party in the history of block parties. Well, I guess I’ll be seeing you soon then! Bye for now!
