5 Best Recipes from Haylie Duff's Cooking Show “Real Girl’s Kitchen”!

Written by Nicole Koch. Published: April 13 2015

If someone described a cooking show to me with these three words -- adorable, relaxing, and entertaining -- Haylie Duff’s series, “Real Girl’s Kitchen”, would be the first thing to come to mind! Yes, that's right, Haylie Duff has her own show on Ora.tv and the Cooking Channel (going on Season Two), and it’s seriously the cutest thing ever. Plus, sis Hilary makes appearances every now and then, which is pretty cool too -- Lizzie McGuire, what up! Haylie herself is what sells the show, though, and her cooking style makes for a relaxing 30 minutes. Check the promo below:

ALL of her recipes look amazing (no really -- I’m not just being nice) and here are 5 of the best that you should try at your next dinner party:

1. Cocktail: Watermelon Rosemary Lemonade

I mean, just the name sounds refreshing! Watermelon is SO delicious, and the pink color is precious. Spring is here and Summer is right around the corner… this is the perfect “summer in a glass” cocktail!

2. Salad: Bacon, Peach, and Rocket Arugula Salad

First of all, this salad looks almost too gorgeous to even eat! AND it has bacon… all you bacon lovers can rejoice! It’s a healthy and happy recipe that was so easy for Haylie to make. Guiltless Grub it is!

3. Appetizer: Cauliflower Buffalo Bites

Okay, these are probably my favorite. I’m obsessed with boneless buffalo wings and ranch/bleu cheese. What a fun and healthy(er) way to eat one of the most traditional snacks in America! Way to go Haylie.

4. Entree: Zesty White Cheddar Mac & Cheese

YAS, calling all mac and cheese lovers, you’ll die when you see this recipe. I could eat mac and cheese every day (and I basically do), and Haylie’s version sounds SO good. I mean, just look at the picture. Pasta and cheese. You can never go wrong with that combo.

5. Dessert: Black Bean Chocolate Cake with Buttercream Frosting (as featured in the promo above!)

Chocolate cake -- need I say more? Nope. Haylie uses black beans to create the base of this cake. I’d say that’s pretty inventive. If you watch the episode, just prepare to feel your mouth watering.

They all sound amazing, right? Don’t forget to also check out her blog and catch her show on the Cooking Channel for more yumminess!
