Riverdale star crashes car after falling asleep at the wheel

Riverdale star K.j. Apa is recovering from a late night car crash after reportedly falling asleep at the wheel.
The 20-year-old, who plays Archie in the Archie Comics TV adaptation, dozed off while driving home after a 16-hour work day in Vancouver, Canada last week (ends15Sep17), and crashed his car into a light pole.
He was hospitalized with minor injuries and discharged after a few hours.
The Australian actor's castmate Cole Sprouse had apparently planned on accompanying Apa home on the night of the accident, but reportedly changed his plans.
Reports suggest Sprouse has now asked TV bosses to provide him and his castmates with transportation home after late shoots.
