Rapper Future under fire for promoting Las Vegas show after festival massacre

Hip-hop star Future has been slammed for promoting an upcoming Las Vegas concert online, hours after the deadly shooting at the city's Route 91 Harvest Festival.

At least 58 people were killed and over 500 others injured after 64-year-old gunman Stephen Paddock targeted country music fans at the outdoor event, where Jason Aldean had been performing.

As celebrities flocked to social media to express their heartache over the tragedy on Monday morning (02Oct17), a poster popped up on Future's Twitter account advertising the Mask Off star's appearance at Sin City nightclub Drai's for its Horror Story Halloween event on 28 October (17).

It was simply captioned, "OCT 28th @DraisLV", but the timing of the promotional post left fans fuming.

"take some time from thinking about yourself & promoting a concert.......in Vegas," wrote one follower, while another replied, "Um? Seriously?".

The tweet is likely to have been a scheduled post, but the ad remained on Future's Twitter page as WENN went to press.

He has yet to comment on the backlash or the festival massacre, the deadliest in U.S. history.
