Lindsay Lohan shares Ramadan feasts with Pamela Anderson

Lindsay Lohan has been fasting for Ramadan while holidaying with Pamela Anderson at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Mean Girls star, 30, was aboard a luxury yacht over the weekend as she took in the iconic French movie event.

She was joined on the vessel by stars including Pamela, Jeremy Renner, Adrien Brody and Salma Hayek.

However the actress was unable to eat or drink during the day as she was observing the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which began on Friday (26May17).

During the month long fasting period, Muslims cannot eat or drink during the hours of daylight, with most then choosing to break their fast at night by feasting alongside family and friends.

Lindsay says she invited her celebrity pals over for her own Ramadan feasts.

"I really enjoyed sharing feasts with friends it brings a beautiful feeling of community and peace it really made me happy and appreciative of life," she tells WENN.

The star also attended the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday (28May17) where she met up with Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio.

As well as taking in the Formula 1 motor racing event she also attended the star-studded amfAR charity gala last Thursday (25May17).

Of her trip to the French Mediterranean she adds, "The ocean brings me a sense of peace and calmness and I am totally obsessed with boats and being on the water so this was the perfect choice for this holiday and to celebrate Ramadan."

When asked if Lindsay's decision to observe Ramadan at Cannes meant she had converted to Islam and would be fasting until the holy month comes to an end on 24 June (17), her representative declined to comment.
