Gucci Mane fell asleep during Spring Breakers sex scene

Rapper Gucci Mane was so tired on the set of movie Spring Breakers that he kept falling asleep while filming a raunchy scene.

The Ice Cream rapper reportedly revealed the embarrassing tale in an excerpt from his highly anticipated memoir The Autobiography of Gucci Mane, in which he recalled being so tired on the set of the rowdy 2012 movie, which starred James Franco and Selena Gomez, that he fell asleep during his "big sex scene."

"We were working 12-hour days, and then I was going out at night," he wrote, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. "The last scene I shot was my big sex (scene), and by that point I was exhausted. There had been pounds of this fake herbal weed on set, but that junk gave me a headache, so I stuck to smoking Kush (marijuana).

"It was 4 in the morning... I couldn't keep my eyes open. I was knocked out, snoring... (Director) Harmony (Korine) kept having to wake me up for takes."

He also paid tribute to his co-star James, adding, "I learned a lot watching Franco do his thing. The whole way he approached his character was super impressive."

Gucci, real name Radric Delantic Davis, landed a spot in the movie with the help of Rush Hour director Brett Ratner and singer Mariah Carey.

The rapper has been sober following his most recent stint in prison, where he began writing his memoir.

In 2014, he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and spent nearly three years in a maximum-security prison before his release in May 2016.

Gucci's latest album Mr. Davis is set for release in October, after being pushed back from its September release date.
