Chance The Rapper had a special treat at the end of his free concert in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday night (12Aug17) - a personal thank you from former leader Barack Obama.

The rap star headlined the gig in his hometown following the the Bud Billiken Parade - and was shocked when President Obama popped up on a giant screen behind him.

"Chance, I'm grateful for everything you've done for our young people back home, representing the kind of young people that come out of Chicago and change the world," the former Illinois Senator said.

Future and Jeremih also made surprise appearances at the concert.

Chance, who also served as the grand marshal of the parade, didn't mention Obama's video message during his set. It was arranged by the organizers of the event.
