Tiger Sushi in Beverly HillsThe Place To Be

A lot of my business dinners tend to be in Beverly Hills, but I've always felt BH was a little weak when it came to fun sushi joints. I can now tell you that has finally changed. A couple nights ago, I met a few friends at a new spot, Tiger Sushi. Considering the owner is Reza Roohi, of Villa fame, I knew I was in for something cool and he definitely delivered.

It was a really great environment. The outside patio will be a fun place come summertime. Tiger Sushi took over the space that was Lucky Fish and gave it a facelift. The food put it over the edge, though. It had an expansive menu so, of course, I had to play around and try a number of things. There are a lot of unique items you can't find anywhere else. It's like taking some of my other faves, Nobu and Katsuya, and rolling them into one restaurant. The best dish was the short ribs "" my recommendation. What I did notice, though, was that they only had regular edamame so I hinted to Reza about secret Black edamame. The next day, I received a text message from Reza saying he followed my advice and ordered the specialty edamame I love so much. Simple as that.

Tiger Sushi has placed itself in a good postion. Café Roma recently reopened a few doors down so the block is starting to really buzz. It's becoming the new place to go if you are looking for good food and a good time. So I'm happy to report that what BH was initially lacking, my friend Reza has filled the void.
