As the famous saying goes, "Nothing is certain in life except death and taxes." Well, now you can add to the list of certainties a Saw sequel that comes out Halloween week. Last week, I went to the premiere of Saw VI. WOW! How do the writers continue to come up with this stuff? The movie has some pretty crazy scenes and is definitely not for the faint of heart. Despite being disturbing and stomach churning, it is actually worth checking out.
I haven't seen any of the Saw films except for the 1st one, so I'm not sure how this compared to the others. I asked someone at the premiere who had seen every film in the franchise and she said this is the best one yet.
After the premiere, I stopped by the after-party at LA's latest hot spot, Wonderland. I was a bit disappointed there really wasn't any theme to the party considering Halloween is just around the corner. There are a lot of cool things they could have done to livin it up. Then again, when you have a franchise as successful as Saw you don't need to prove anything, so no need for the fluff as the product speaks for itself. In fact, they are so sure of the success of Saw VI that they are already in pre-production on Saw 7. It looks like next Halloween we'll be talking about Saw all over again!
