Flying Away to Owl City

As we are constantly being reminded in this new technology-crazy age, it's easier than ever for underground talent to find mainstream recognition if they put themselves out there enough "" and, by "out there" I of course mean, the Internet.

Case in point: Adam Young, the face, voice, and talent behind Owl City. What started as a hobby to cure insomnia soon became a popular Internet presence when he began showcasing his work on MySpace. Then came a record deal from Universal Republic and, ultimately, a #1 hit last year with his song "Fireflies." You can no longer tell me that the Internet isn't a legitimate creative outlet!

And Young is determined to keep the mojo flowing, not only keeping product for Owl City coming but also heading up five other musical projects, all aimed at experimenting with different genres produced almost entirely on a synthesizer.
