Lyrical Genius...Undeniable influence...Swagger for days. There's no question that Notorious B.I.G. is one of the greatest MC's that ever lived. Thirteen years ago today, Biggie Smalls was gunned down in Los Angeles, and while we still don't know why or how this happened...his legacy will live on FOREVER.
RIP Christopher Wallace...you will forever be missed.
After the show it's the after party. People in this town live for this. Not just any after party, The Oscar after parties. This is the biggest night in Hollywood, and it gives us all an excuse to get dressed up and be a part of the glitz and glam of tinsel town. Vanity Fair, Elton John, Madonna and Demi Moore, are a few of the annual events that bring out some of the biggest names in Hollywood. One of the major events is in my neighborhood, and it's such a production that they shut down the street for a week.
Last night, I decided to head out to E! Entertainment's Oscar Viewing and After Party, where the event also marked the debut of Drai's Hollywood at the brand new W Hollywood Hotel. The post-Oscar bash brought out a really fun crowd, and there was some definite Vegas energy in the room. Drai's takes up the top two floors of the hotel, and the glassed-in rooftop views of LA are breathtaking. The space is HUGE and the upscale decor is like nothing I've seen before in this city.
All the E! personalities, including Ryan Seacrest came out, as well as Crispin Glover, Olivia Munn, Audrina Patridge, The Black Eyed Peas, Lance Bass, Terrell Owens, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, to name a few. DJ Benji Madden and DJ Vice spun on the one's and two's bringing out a whole new mix..from trance, dance, to hip-hop, to top 40, to oldies. You name it, they played it. The E! Oscar Party at Drai's was the place to be to celebrate the big night. Although I knew I was in LA, I felt like I was in Vegas. We all know in Vegas, the night could never end.
Happy Thursday People! This is my throwback of the week for all of those MJ fans out there. You all know Michael Jackson is undeniably the most significant entertainer in music history, but there's something about his time during the 80's that stands out the most to me.
Thriller is by far his most popular music video, but these 80's gems show the talent and swagger that we all need to remember..
Now my Thursday is complete. MJ you will forever be missed.
Today the cast of FOX's hit show, "Glee" announced they will be hitting the road on a four-city concert tour this spring. "Glee, Live! In Concert," will be hitting Phoenix (May 18), Los Angeles (May 20-21st), Chicago (May 25-26), and New York City (May 28-29). The stars will sing your favorites from the show like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Jump," " Sweet Caroline," "Somebody to Love," and more.
It's so crazy to me to see how big this show has become in such a short amount of time. See my interviews with the cast before their Golden Globe and SAG Award days:
I also sat down with Cory Monteith over the summer, just before the show came out.
See if he was prepared for the Gleek madness that came soon thereafter:
For all you Gleek's out there, the show returns April 13th on FOX :)
Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been obsessed with music videos. When I used to get ready for school I'd watch MTV every morning and teach myself the dance rountine in the video, and sing along with the artists. I'm a big fan of the old-school, and Throwback Thursdays is my way showing you some of my favorite music videos and music throughout the 80s, 90s, and up until the early part of the Millenium.
Today, it's all about the boy bands of the 80s. Check out New Edition's video "Cool it Now"
Ronny, Bobby, Ricky and Mike -- If I like the girl then who cares who you like!
Now onto The New Kids on the Block. They had "The Right Stuff" in the 80s, and here's the video to prove why:
Be sure to check back every Thursday for my new Throwback of the week.
