'Zombieland' Webseries a Go; Two Leads Cast!

For those of you like me, who saw Zombieland and wished for more in the adventures of “Columbus” and his rag-rag band of similarly city-named zombie apocalypse survivors, good news!

Amazon is looking to board the original content bandwagon (no doubt after peeping the success Netflix is having with their original series, “House of Cards”, and rebooting “Arrested Development”) by teaming up with Sony to snatch up Zombieland as the basis for a scripted webseries, which will be written and executive produced by the writers and producer of the original film, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Gavin Polone.

The concept for a Zombieland-based series has been whispered about for a while now, so it’s great to see the trigger finally being pulled on this one! The show will, naturally, follow the continued exploits of the characters from the film. The roles of Columbus and Little Rock have already been cast, the former to be played by Tyler Ross and the latter to be taken on by Izabela Vidovic. It will be interesting to see if they can lure any bigger names to take on the roles of Tallahassee and Wichita, which were previously played by Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone, respectively.

Looking forward to seeing what else develops!
