The event, Microsoft Windows Presents: Musicology 101, benefited the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, a non profit organization that promotes the importance of music in children's lives. Hosted by the Grammy award winning and Hip Hop icon, Common, alongside with DJ Biz Markie, together, they showcased how technology and music have touched and helped many lives, from past to present. Entertainers such as the Jonas Brothers, DJ Felli Fel, and Caitlin Crosby all attended the event, located at the Hard Rock Cafe Citywalk. Throughout the years, VH1 Save the Music has donated around $43 million worth of instruments, to over 1,600 schools around the country, where it has helped more than 1.2 million students in public schools.
