The world loves a good comeback story, none more saddening than the tragic rise and fall of Whitney Houston. People counted her down and out of the game.

Unlike other pop stars that made it on gyrating their hips half-nakedly, Whitney had more than her image to lose. Nobody ever accuses the pop tarts with actually having a great talent. The reason people are so invested in Whitney is because she has more than spectacle to back her up. Her songs are powerful and dynamic with beautiful music and lyrics. She doesn't need wind machines and wild animals to capture your attention.

No more proof in the pudding that her triumphant return to the stage on Good Morning America; no backup dancers, no laser light show, no pre-recorded voiceover. Just Whitney with her backup singers in front the crowd, live and loving it.

Though some will continue to speculate to infinity about her power vocals being damaged due to her self-admitted drug use, nobody can deny she delivers on stage. She doesn't just work it, girlfriend owns it. Whitney's still got it - like she never left. At 46, this Hollywood mom is dedicating her new album, I Look To You, to her daughter and recommitting herself to the music scene with love and faith at the forefront.

Already number one on iTunes, the Queen of the Night is back with her first album of new material in 7 years.
