VP Joe Biden Paying a Visit to "Parks & Rec"!

Whenever you attempt a risky career move – like, say, running for President of the United States – it’s always a good idea to have a Plan B just in case things don’t work out. Mitt Romney learned this the hard way when he prepared a victory speech ONLY and therefore had to spend an inordinate amount of time going back to the drawing board before giving his official concession on Tuesday night. Vice President Joe Biden, on the other hand, was already clearly eying some other options… in Pawnee, Indiana, to be exact.

It has officially been revealed that the Veep will be making a brief cameo appearance on “Parks and Recreation” on November 15, and simultaneously fulfilling a fantasy of leading lady Amy Poehler. Or, half of it anyway. Amy’s character, Leslie Knope, has previously stated that her ideal man would “have the brains of George Clooney and the body of Joe Biden.” Clearly unthreatened and secure in his relationship with the lovely Leslie, her fiancé Ben (Adam Scott) arranges the meeting between her and Biden at the White House as an engagement present.

Biden, incidentally a big fan of the show, shot the less-than-a-minute-long spot earlier this summer, but they were unable to air it until the election was over in order to avoid any scolding from the FEC for appearing to favor the VP over his opponent, Paul Ryan (who hadn’t even been named as Romney’s running mate yet, but still… you DO NOT mess with the FEC, y’all!). Now that the election has been settled, NBC and Biden are free to charm li’l ol’ Leslie! No word yet on if he will appear shirtless in order to validate her endorsement of his physical prowess…
