Viewers to Decide Fate of Upcoming "Hawaii Five-0" Ep!

Listen up, Hawaii Five-0 fans – for those of you regular watchers who have often been left sad and disappointed by an episode’s dénouement (hopefully not too often!), now you have a chance to have your say!

Back in the day before the Interwebs, TV series writers did not get as much immediate feedback for their work as they do now. Nowadays, what with live-Tweeting television programs and all, writers can get real-time reactions to their efforts simply by going online. So if, say, a writer was stuck on how to end an upcoming episode, why not throw it to the fans to decide?

And that is just what is happening for the January 14th episode of the hit CBS show! DURING the actual broadcast, viewers can cast their vote for the identity of the culprit of the case-of-the-week both by visiting CBS.com and logging onto Twitter using the hashtags #TheBoss, #TheTA, or #TheStudent, all three being viable suspects in the case that our Hawaiian gang is working on in that ep. Whichever choice comes out the winner, that ending will be tacked on to the broadcast version. The other 2 endings will later be available to check out on CBS.com.

Admit it, the most fun part of watching crime dramas is putting the pieces together yourself and trying to figure out who the culprit is before the detectives do (easy rule-of-thumb for “Law & Order: SVU” – if there’s a famous guest star, 9 times out of 10, they are the bad guy). The producers of “Hawaii Five-0” are giving viewers a chance to be vindicated in their couch-detecting skills!

Personally, I think this sort of mars the element of surprise, but that’s just me! Have at it, "Five-0" fans!
