The notorious rock concert known as Warped Tour is right around the corner, leaving me to pop the big question: do you have your tickets yet?!

 

Warped Tour 2012 has over 40 tour stops in the U.S. and Canada this year, making it easily accessible to people across North America. The 50-day tour is set to kick off this year’s festivities in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Utah State Fairpark on June 16, and will wrap up in Portland, Oregon, at the Rose Quarter Riverfront on August 5. The tour, sponsored by Vans, has been an annual summer event since 1995 that combines music with extreme sports. In its beginning years, the tour featured solely punk rock bands, but over the years, the tour has incorporated more genres of rock to include alternative, metal, and pop-punk bands. This year the tour is scheduled to have multiple stages at each venue and boasts a lineup of over 90 bands. Lineups at each venue vary slightly, but set to headline the tour are popular names such as Yellowcard, The Used, Of Mice and Men, Rise Against, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday, Transit, and many more!

 

Recognizing that the tour takes place in the summer and fans will be standing in the hot sun for hours at a time, Warped Tour has come up with a couple solutions to beat the heat. Not only will Klean Kanteen filtered-water refilling stations be on hand at the concert, Warped Tour has also announced it will have misting stations located around the festival. And if you're feeling brave, select venues will also give concert-goers the chance to cool down via a slip-and-slide! So, if you're looking for the perfect punk rock concert this summer, Vans Warped Tour is the concert for you!
