Usher Finds Himself With New Album After 2-Year Hiatus

Since he first broke out onto the scene back in the 1990s, Usher has been a constant in the music world. Usher is a trendsetter, always looking to evolve both his persona and his sound. Though, it has been quite some time since we last heard music released by this R&B sensation.

In 2011, Usher was featured on David Guetta’s smash record “Without You”, which peaked at the #4 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Before “Without You” was Raymond Vs. Raymond, which was all the way back in 2010!

Fear not, Usher fans, for your cravings for new Usher material can now be satisfied. The 33-year-old super star has release his seventh studio album, Looking 4 Myself. The singer has promised that this album will stand out from his past work, and that he has collaborated with some pretty big names on this one. You can expect to hear contributions from Swedish House Mafia, Diplo, Pharrell, Rick Ross, and yet another smash with David Guetta. In the past, Usher has worked with Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am and Max Martin.

After listening to this album, and based on these collaborations, it does stand out from the rest and continues to show Usher’s development as an artist. “Scream,” and “Can't Stop Won't Stop” feature great dance beats and will for sure be featured on dance floors around the globe, while songs like “Climax” and “Show Me” get back to Usher’s soulful R&B roots.
