Taylor Momsen: Tween starlet turned rock diva!

When young, fresh faced CW star Taylor Momsen changed her cookie-cutter hairstyle into an choppy, sexy 'do, people took notice. Along with the new bangs, her wardrobe transformed with edgy, ripped MEMBERS ONLY jeans and leather jackets.

It wasn't that I changed the way I was dressing, she says. I started dressing myself.

The new Taylor is the real Taylor. You're really seeing me, she adds. And the real her is a rock chick who sings in a band called the Pretty Reckless. They're currently writing, recording songs and performing around L.A.

As to her hit series, I don't want to stop acting, she reassured our Michelle Marie. The show has really changed my life, she says of Gossip Girl. I have to say it's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

While it's a new endeavor, I was singing before I could speak, she says in a manner that reminds you she just turned 16. I've been writing music since I was, like, four.

She adds; It's not just something I picked up overnight.

Describing her sound, It's heaver than people are going to expect, she says. It's darker.

If people like it and fame comes with that, awesome, Taylor muses. If not as long as I can afford and apartment and food I'm happy, it's cool, she says with a laugh.
