Howdy y’all! Ready for a rootin’ tootin’ hog-killin’ time? Then I invite you to the biggest barbecue bash in town! We’ll be grillin’, chillin’, drinkin’, and dancin’ the night away. Bring your hats and boots for the ultimate hoedown throwdown!
Excuse me, y’all, but my country-western alter ego, Dakota, comes out when it’s barbecue season! She loves stuffing her face with a mean rib, baked beans, and a corn on the cob. I can’t say I blame her. I mean, nothing rings in the summer season quite like a backyard barbecue! That’s why I’ve created a menu to make your next party a sure-fire hit! May your guests be happy, your meat tender, and your ice box full of drinks! Happy grilling!
SALAD:
Classic Cobb Salad - A summer favorite! What’s not to love? We have bacon, cheese, chicken, eggs, avocado... did I mention bacon? It also makes for a beautiful presentation!
Easy Pasta Salad - A light recipe with quick and easy prep time! Throw some cubed cheese and salami in there for an extra kick. Guests will definitely come back for seconds and thirds!
SIDES:
Southern Baked Beans - Paula Deen’s best baked bean dish from her kitchen to yours! She sure knows how to make her food elbow lickin’ good (with a side of fatty, buttery love)!
Scalloped Hasselback Potatoes - Oh my artery-clogging goodness! Parmesan cheese and butter tucked into the potato crevices and topped with heavy cream, cheese, and sour cream. Yikes!
The Neely's Honey Cornbread Muffins - A boxed mix is no longer necessary! These sweet and moist cornbread muffins are full of flavor and dee-lish! Slather on some honey and enjoy!
Grilled Corn - I thoroughly enjoy sinking my teeth into a corn on the cob. Especially when it’s tender, juicy, and parmesan-coated. Can you tell I like my vegetables with butter and cheese?
MAIN COURSE:
Barbecued Chicken - No more burnt chicken! Your friends and family will go bananas over this five-star recipe! The homemade barbecue sauce is outstanding! Finger-lickers unite!
Cedar Planked Salmon - "Healthy" and "tasty" don’t belong in the same sentence, but this cedar planked salmon is an exception to the rule. All the flavors marinate to create quite the mouthwatering experience.
Who Loves Ya Baby Back - Honey, I love ya baby back... baby back... baby back ribs! If you’re looking for a fall-off-the-bone experience, then I suggest you try these. Alton Brown has truly outdone himself!
DESSERT:
Banana Caramel Cream Dessert - This light and refreshing dessert is the perfect way to round out the night. The bananas, caramel, cream, and graham cracker crust create a glorious combination.
Well, folks, I’ve got to skedaddle! The baby back ribs are callin’ my name!
