A&E has announced that their quasi-prequel series to Psycho, "Bates Motel", will officially premiere on March 18 (yay!). As we amble closer and closer to the big debut, more info continues to roll out regarding the plot and vision of the executive producers like Carlton Cuse. We also have three new teaser promos!
The new clips are much in the same vein as the first two that were released a couple months ago, in that they’re only a few seconds long and are hella creepy. The first of the three is the most like the previous ones – it starts out focused on a black bird hanging out on a lakeshore, then pulls back to reveal an errant bodily appendage. The second clip features actress Olivia Cooke (the first complete/alive human to be featured in a teaser), who plays Emma on the show, in what looks to be the middle of the woods and in some obvious peril as her eyes frantically search the unknown just beyond the camera. In the third (and most bizarre and intriguing) clip, the camera serves as someone’s (Norman’s?) POV as it inches down a hallway to a door (Mother’s?), opens it, and finds… a rave in progress. What’s creepier than a rave in one’s mother’s Victorian bedroom?
Check out the 3 new clips below:
“Bates Motel” premieres on Monday, March 18, at 10pm on A&E.
