Do you watch the Superbowl for the game, or the commercials? Banking almost $3 million per 30 seconds, advertisers are working hard and spending high to get your attention. Of those that did see air time, movies made perhaps the biggest splash with tight trailers for some of the most anticipated celluloid offerings on the horizon, such as Transformers, Star Trek and G.I. Joe. Films most viewers are likely to see anyway. Yet it's the excitement and anticipation that has us waiting with baited breath to see the first glimpse of a feature we're excited about. Meanwhile, Pepsi dominated the ongoing cola feud with a funny MacGyver spoof. Also funny yet teetering near the edge of awful were Ed McMahon and MC Hammer in their Gold for Cash advert. Purposefully bad, the gold toilet made me LOL. The CareerBuilder.com spot made me laugh because a Koala (puppet) got punched in the face. Physical comedy brings my evil side. Doritos Crystal Ball was randomly violent but funny, nobody got punched in the face but still amusing. Overwhelmingly, people have declared Alec Baldwin's advertisement for Hulu the funniest commercial of the pack. They say TV will rot your brain,
