If you love both Judd Apatow and "The Simpsons", then prepare yourself for a comedy match made in Heaven! A spec script that Apatow wrote 22 years ago for the show is about to finally come to life. The episode will premiere later next year.
The episode will follow Homer as he is hypnotized into thinking he is a 10-year-old boy, and the close friendship he forms with his son Bart because of it. But as the pressing responsibilities of adulthood rear their head, Homer decides to run away rather than snap back to reality. Apatow commented that the episode reflects much of the work he has done over the years, as many of his movies deal with men coming to terms with the responsibilities of adulthood.
Apatow is personally thrilled that they are finally bringing his script to life. I am personally inspired by this, as it proves that you should never give up on your dreams -- even if they were rejected 22 years earlier. Dreams never really do die, they can always be resurrected and brought to life!
