'The Rut' to Reunite Chloe Moretz & Jeffrey Dean Morgan On-Screen

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chloe Moretz have decided to team up yet again for another spooky thriller!

In fall 2011, Morgan and Moretz co-starred in the crime drama, Texas Killing Fields, about two homicide detectives investigating a series of unsolved murders in the Texas bayous. Now, the duo are coming together again to play father and daughter in Jennifer’s Body director Karyn Kausama’s film titled The Rut, which is being described as a cross between Debra Granik’s Winter’s Bone and Sean Penn’s Into the Wild.

The Rut will follow a teenage girl and her father through a tragic journey that they must endure while learning how to survive in the wild, surrounded by danger and adventure. Although not many details regarding the film have been revealed other then the actor picks and that Kausama will be directing, there have been rumors circulating about her writing the script as well.

The Rut is predicted to hit theaters in early 2013; meanwhile, lookout for Morgan later this year in the remake of Red Dawn, the horror film The Possession, and Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding. Oh, and also his new television series titled "Magic City"! Morgan has been keeping himself busy, while Moretz has been focusing on playing a role in Tim Burton’s next film, Dark Shadows.
