It is somewhat based on author, Margaret Lester's own true life experiences as a cocktail waitress.The story documents Margaret's journey as a young woman who moves to L.A. with the hopes of pursuing a career in acting, but she becomes a coctail waitress to make ends meat. This is a great read for young women, with big dreams, searching for their own identities and hoping to make it big.
