Old school becomes new school as the CW brings back a classic primetime teen drama!

Before Gossip Girl, there was the originator: Beverly Hills 90210. It was adolescent life in these United States as only the 90s could capture it.

Oh, there were TV shows about teen angst before, but never a high school drama that embraced racy themes formerly considered taboo in kid's programming. Sex, relationships, nose jobs and even gangsters portrayed a newfangled reality of teen life in America. Sure, it was over-the-top and unnecessarily complicated. That's what made it so great! Such is the nature of television.

The show changed everything. It set a new standard for teen programming.

And now, it's back! Old school alums join a new crew of kids in a remake-spinoff first. Never before has a show comeback on the air after eight years with an updated cast and storyline. The series is already bridging generation gaps, even for those who might be just a tad young to remember the original classic.

It wasn't so long ago that Kelly Taylor, Donna Martin and Brenda Walsh walked the halls of Beverly Hills - now all three girls are reprising their roles to help usher in the new class!

The update also features a brand new family in the famous zip code, with new classmates like Twilight hottie Kellan Lutz, plus Ryan Eggold as a troubled teacher on the precipice of an affair with a student. Not to mention, the remixed series treats us to Jessica Walter from Arrested Development play the alcoholic family patriarch. That woman is absolutely hilarious. Swirl all that together and you have a mighty stew!

New series premieres September 2 on the CW. So hot, heads will explode.
