The 5 Best Quotes From Beyoncé's "Yours and Mine" Video!

Written by Nicole Koch. Published: December 12 2014

Listen up, guys, the Queen has something to say!

QueenBeyoncé keeps showing the world not only how amazingly talented of an artist she is, but how humanistic she has always been. “When you’re famous, nobody looks at you like a human anymore,” Beyonce says about two minutes into her newly-released 11-and-a-half minute short film entitled "Yours and Mine", which was created in honor of the one-year anniversary for her self-titled album! It features clips from past music videos and some of her deepest thoughts on fame, body image, marriage, and much more. There’s so many noteworthy statements within this short film, but I have narrowed it down to the 5 top quotes, and here they are!:

0:23:I sometimes wish I could be anonymous, walk down the street like everyone else. Before I was famous, I was the girl on the hill with a guitar. I was the girl that just wanted a beautiful view of the beach. Now that I'm famous, it's really, really difficult to do very simple things.

Aww, poor Bey! People always forget that you have a heart and soul just like everyone else. I can see her heart on her sleeve as I watch this.

0:49:I think it's the hardest thing to give up, but my mother always taught me to be strong and to never be a victim, never make excuses, never expect anyone else to provide me things that I know I can provide for myself. I have dreams, and I feel like I have a power to actually make those dreams become a reality.

These are such powerful statements. The reason why you’re so successful and important is because of your hard work and dedication, girl!

4:51:It all starts when you can look in the mirror and say, 'I like this person,' you know? If I hadn't gone through some of the painful experiences in my life, I would not be me.

I love this. Everyone is unique because of the personal hardships we face. I adore her for acknowledging the importance of loving ourselves!

10:18:Happiness comes from you. No one else can make you happy. You make you happy.

Our minds are the most powerful thing in this universe. If you can’t make yourself happy, how do you expect anyone else to? Right, B?

10:39:The love I have for the music, my husband, for my child — it's something that will last far beyond my life.

She is a legend, and her legacy will live on, along with her passion for her music and family! Cue the film coming to an end with gorgeous B walking in the ocean holding Blue Ivy as it cuts to black.

What do you guys think? What an intense and heartfelt video, right? Beyoncé is such a beautiful soul, and I’m proud of her for showing her fans and the entire world her deepest and most personal thoughts.
