Have you heard? Finding a new musical treat is more than a delight to the ears, it can pull at your very soul.

There are just some songs, certain melodies, the right combination of lyrics and music that truly elevate the experience. Broken Strings by James Morrison is one of those songs.

The critically acclaimed duet with Nelly Furtado is yet another in a steady stream of songs from the UK musician, making this recent discovery the gift that keeps on giving! In fact, Broken Strings is from his second album - meaning you and I both have a lot of catching up to do.

His first album, Undiscovered, made its debut at the top of the UK charts in 2006, though he remains mostly, well, ironically titular on American radio. Songs for You, Truths for Me, was released in 2008, rocking the UK and Irish Album charts. The joy of the current music scene is that you don't have to search for import CDs. I mean, heck, what record store would you even do that in? It's like finding a dinosaur. Just download the stuff.

Legally, of course.

Fun Fact: James began playing guitar at age 13. His uncle showed him a blues guitar rift and the magic was born.

Not So Fun Fact: Born premature, he caught whooping cough and nearly died, resulting in the raspy voice that is his very claim to fame.
