This week marked the 35th anniversary of the death of rock and roll icon Elvis Presley. In the grand scheme of things, that’s barely the bat of an eyelash, but for his closest confidantes and family, it’s a lifetime. The date (August 16) was marked by a touching vigil and commemoration at Graceland attended by the King’s wife, Priscilla, and daughter, Lisa Marie.

 

What more can there be said about Elvis that hasn’t already been written in countless books, articles, documentaries, and biopics? Certainly nothing I could ever hope to add (unless you count this).
