Sunday Music Vids: ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN

Heheh. Get it? Echo and the BUNNYmen? Easter BUNNY? Man, I am clever.

And I’m not the first one to think of it either. The British New Wave band were featured on the soundtrack to Donnie Darko, which, of course, revolved around a Doomsday prophesying rabbit. If they ever do a remake of Harvey, I’m sure E&TB will get a phone call for that too.

Echo and the Bunnymen have enjoyed both cult and mainstream success over the past 30 years, despite many line-up changes, break-ups, and even bandmembers’ untimely deaths. But you gotta take the good with the bad, and the band has continued to soldier on, releasing a whopping 11 studio albums (including 10 live albums and 9 compilation albums), their most recent in 2009. Though they have a respectable cult following in the States, they continue to thrill audiences in their native U.K.

Please to enjoy some of Echo and the Bunnymen’s most fun and surreal music vids below… Happy Easter!
