SUNDAY MUSIC VIDS: Celine Dion

Written by Rita Korkounian. Published: February 05 2017

I wanted to go on a weekend getaway. Somewhere I could just relax, unwind, and forget my troubles. One place came to mind, with the sweet clinking sound of slot machines. Destination: Las Vegas. So many machines to play, places to shop, people to see, shows to watch. However, there was one outstanding item on my bucket list: to go to a Céline Dion concert.

So, I did just that. I went to the box office and purchased my ticket. It’s the best investment I’ve made to date. For about two hours, I went into a state of trance as I watched Céline in this spectacle. I laughed, I cried, I sang (out of key), and I cuddled with my imaginary date. And then I proceeded to buy 10 of her CDs. I left the Colosseum a happy girl with a song of love in my heart... particularly “The Power of Love.”

Whether you are a “closet” fan or a loyal follower, you must see Céline’s magical and memorable show at the Colosseum in Caesar’s Palace. From her greatest hits and other timeless classics, you are sure to have a spine-tinging and hair-raising experience. Tickets are available here with show dates starting now thru June.

To date, one of Céline’s biggest hits remains the main theme song of the film Titanic, “My Heart Will Go On”, written and composed by James Horner and Will Jennings, and produced by Horner and Walter Afanasieff. It is one of the best selling singles in history, winning Best Original Song at the 1998 Academy Awards and Golden Globes and also earning Céline two Grammys for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Record of the Year.

As you can see, Céline continues to make an impact on the music world. She is a true entertainer and we hope to be graced by her presence for another hundred years.
