When "90210" star AnnaLynne McCord tweeted a picture of herself sans makeup last week, it immediately caught everyone's attention. However, it is not a new revelation for stars to flaunt their natural glow -- some of the hottest stars around are not afraid to show what lies beneath the layers of make up to anyone who cares to look.

 

Other recent Twitter posters include Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga – all three women happy to pose for the camera without their usual full faces of make-up. Beyoncé hit headlines recently for releasing the picture of herself au naturale, wearing just her husband’s jewelry. The picture showed a completely different side to this famously private star and proved she is indeed a natural beauty.

 

 

 

 

 

When Hollywood's hottest stars run errands or hit the gym, it's not unusual for them to leave the cosmetics behind and embrace their natural good looks. Stars, including Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba, are not afraid to hit the streets without the aid of cosmetics, flattering studio lighting, or airbrushing. Indeed, Kim Kardashian was not afraid to take it one step further, following in the footsteps of Jessica Simpson by posing for Marie Claire magazine last year 100% make-up-free. Kim recently shot the cover for Allure Magazine also completely bare-faced.

 

 

 

So, as photos of celebrities without make-up become more common, we are left to ponder the notion of "flawlessness", since it is now obvious that those who are supposed to embody the highest standard of "perfection" might not even meet it themselves.
