Funny how life works – there I was, sitting at my desk eating some leftover southern gumbo for lunch, when I got word that electro-hip-pop duo, Speakers, have a new music video out. This led me back to the time we interviewed Keon B. and Blair Taylor at Harold & Belle’s… over bowls of gumbo. Don’t you love it when things come full circle like that?

 

Okay, well, before I get too philosophical over here, let me just get straight to the point… Speakers is dope. Their music is hot, and their videos are bananas. Their newest offering “And Her Too” epitomizes their unique sound, seamlessly blending dance, funk, hip-hop, pop, R&B, and everything in-between. It’s music you can both bust a move and/or get busy too, which I’m sure suits these fellas just fine. The video is slick and smooth… like a club version of a James Bond movie intro.
