It's Christmas! Time to spread all that holiday cheer. And what better way to celebrate the holiday season then with some great Christmas music? But not just any music. Here is a short list of some of the best modern renditions and originals that celebrate all that is great about Christmas. These aren’t your grandmothers Christmas songs, so crank up the music player of your choice and tear open your presents to these merry tunes!
“Santa Baby” – Michael Bublé
This modern-day big band crooner takes a more masculine approach to the classic sugar baby anthem that has been done by the likes of Eartha Kitt and Madonna.
“All I Want For Christmas is You” – Mariah Carey & Justin Bieber
This all-time holiday favorite combines one of the most successful pop songstresses ever with today’s biggest popstar. What could be better than that?
“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” – Miley Cyrus
With the way this version of the Christmas fave turns into a pop-rock shaker makes Miley the perfect muse to perform it.
“8 Days of Christmas” – Destiny’s Child
The girls of DC3 made for an uber-sexy and sensual twist to the holidays. With the fiercesome threesome of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, would you expect anything else?
“Last Christmas” – Cascada
The modern-day “miss you during the holidays” masterpiece, originally performed by '80s powerhouse Wham!, gets a club-twist with European club queen Cascada.
“Wonderful Christmas Time” – Demi Lovato
One of two "X Factor" judges to appear on this list, Lovato takes a wonderful whimsy pop twist to this classic Christmas tune that has us all tapping our toes and singing along.
“My Only Wish This Year” – Britney Spears
Fellow "X Factor" judge and one-time Disney princess Britney Spears makes for a PERFECT pop song, and it doesn’t even matter that this one is only played during this time of year. IT’S THAT GOOD.
“Mistletoe” – Justin Bieber
Our main man Justin Bieber quite literally REINVENTED modern Christmas music with last year’s Under the Mistletoe album, making it a record that people will play endlessly during the holidays for years to come.
