Attention sci-fi kids, sneaker heads, and hip-hop enthusiasts: This is kind of rad. adidas Originals has teamed up with the Star Wars franchise to collaborate on a line of shoes and apparel inspired by the epic trilogy. The first of the collection debuted last month, and now Snoop is in the mix to help spread the word about the expansion of the line to T’s and hoodies. The following is a description of the collection from the official Star Wars website: "The collection for the first season is split into three packs -- The Characters Pack, the Vehicles Pack and the Direct Pack. The products in each pack take inspiration from the respective aspect of the Star Wars lexicon from legendary characters and crafts to classic scenes and fuse them with iconic adidas Originals silhouettes."
Thursday, Snoop led a parade of stormtroopers and Darth Vader down Broadway in NYC to celebrate the collection. Snoop will also appear in commercials for the adidas Originals X Star Wars endeavor starting in March. As part of the campaign, images from “Star Wars”, “The Empire Strikes Back” and the film “Adidas Originals—Star Wars Collection”, by and Nima Nourizadeh (director of that awesome adidas commercial of the house party set to the Madcon song) and Sid Lee will be projected onto various NYC buildings starting Tuesday. For those of us not in NYC, peep Snoop, David Beckham, and Daft Punk in the Nourizadeh vid below!
