Singer Boy Epic Not "Too Young" to Take Control

New artist Boy Epic has arrived on the music scene with his first single, “Too Young To Love”. The Dallas, Texas, native describes his music as “New Pop”, which, in this case, encompasses a blend of electronic tones, big hooks, aggressive tempos, and a very unique vocal quality.

His first single is based on real-life experiences of having to halt a relationship for essentially being too young. In his own words, it was “a situation where love was being forced, and no matter how hard we tried, we just realized we were too young.” Ironically, having the awareness that you’re not emotionally ready for a commitment shows a certain sense of maturity in itself… it’s that awareness that seems to have brought this song forward. And into an upbeat experience, no less.

In addition to being a singer, Boy Epic also happens to be a filmmaker. That interest in film blends well with the music aspect, however, giving him the opportunity to make his own music videos, which he did in this case for his first single. Ideally, he has stated that he would like to make video content for every song, and who better to paint the proper visual experience than the person making the music himself? This time around, the result is lots of movement and shots creating a Boy Epic montage, with lyrics written across the screen and lots of chances to gaze upon his epic rock star hair and mostly black wardrobe.

His music definitely seems to be created for listener involvement. Boy Epic is not talking at you -- he wants you singing along and dancing! Relatable lyrics and catchy tunes get the job done.

While you wait for more songs to be released, you have some opportunities to catch him performing live. Upcoming shows include June 23 in Ocala, Florida, at the Ocala Entertainment Center, and the Six Flags over Texas July 4, 14, and August 12.
