With the 70th Golden Globe Awards coming up this weekend, it’s a good time to to shine the spotlight on 2011’s sexiest man alive, Bradley Cooper. Mr. Cooper is nominated for Best Actor for his critically-acclaimed film, Silver Linings Playbook; Cooper’s co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, is also nominated, as is the film itself for Best Picture.

 

Even though Cooper’s reign as Sexist Man Alive is over, he certainly hasn't let it slow him down careerwise. Cooper is starring in a new film called The Place Beyond the Pines, which is set to premiere in March of this year.

 

The film centers on a motorcycle stunt driver who finds out that he has a son whom he now wants to provide for. He considers stealing the money for his family, which then puts him on the police’s radar. Cooper plays the cop who leads the manhunt for him -- but who would play the foil to Cooper’s character?

 

Ryan Gosling, that’s who. How appropriate. In 2011, when Cooper was named the Sexiest Man Alive, Gosling fans were outraged, feeling quite strongly that their man deserved the title instead.

 

Well, it seems as if the boys have worked out their differences, even if the fans haven't.

 

Ray Liotta, Rose Byrne, and Eva Mendes also star in the film. Mendes, Ryan’s real life girlfriend, plays Ryan’s character’s wife in the film. I guess its true what they say about co-stars. She’s one lucky lady.

 

Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper in the same film. You all know what my favorite movie will be this spring.
