Nickelodeon's new kid and fellow Twitter addict James Maslow and I use the ever-evolving social service to talk tweets, his new show Big Time Rush, and his favorite things to do off the set!

I'm "twitterviewing" James for a YH first! This is the very first time an interview has been conducted using Twitter, hence, “twitterview.” Should totally copyright that!  

Q? Hi @jamesmaslow! 1st question: Since we're both kinda new to Twitter; when did you start tweeting?

JAMES: @Westopher “I started tweeting about two months ago and it is becoming addicting! I'm still learning it though…”

Q? @jamesmaslow Saw your tweet about surfing! When did you start hitting the waves?

JAMES: @Westopher “I've been surfing since I was little. I first learned in Hawaii, but growing up in La Jolla made it a natural.”

Q? @jamesmaslow What else do you do to stay active & take advantage of the warm SoCal weather?

JAMES: @Westopher “I'm always active! I love to climb (just did Mnt. Whitney last June), football with my friends, and ride my BMX bike around set!”

Q? @jamesmaslow With lots of time on set, does it leave you much time to play?

JAMES: @Westopher “Being busy helps me to appreciate the time off a lot more, so when I get a free weekend I play hard. I beach it, or I travel.”

Q? @jamesmaslow What got you started performing?

JAMES: @Westopher “I began singing in choirs, then began attending performing arts schools for musical theatre and there was inspired to do Film/TV.”.

Q? @jamesmaslow Speaking of work, can you tell us a little about Big Time Rush?

JAMES: @Westopher “Big Time Rush is a comedy about the adventures of 4 best friends who go from a small town to la and become a band!” 

“I play James Diamond a loveable narcissist who wants to be a popstar and live in the fame and fashion but puts his friends first.”

Look for the debut of Big Time Rush to debut on Nickelodeon.
