Richie Sambora & Alicia Keys Team Up For Sandy Song

The tributes keep coming for those effected by Hurricane Sandy. If there’s ever a silver lining when catastrophic events like this occur, it’s that it brings out the best in people, moving them to act and help out their fellow man… It also inspires great artists to put their heads and talents together.

New Jersey native Richie Sambora, of Bon Jovi, was all over the news recently when he paid a visit to the Jersey Shore and witnessed what was, in effect, his very childhood washed away into the ocean. Now he has teamed up with “Empire State of Mind” singer Alicia Keys to collaborate on a song in an effort to raise more funds for Sandy victims.

The song, “I’ll Always Walk Beside You”, is actually a cover of a track featured on his recent solo album, Aftermath of the Lowdown, which was released in September. The tune was originally inspired by Richie’s daughter, Ava, but recent circumstances have shed new light and meaning on the lyrics. The contributions of NYC gurl Keys will no doubt drive the impact home.

The song can be purchased on Richie’s Official Website, and ALL proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross to keep up the amazing work they have been doing for those in areas hit hardest by Sandy. So go get downloadin’!
