How do Hollywood hotties like Taylor Swift and Vanessa Hudgens keep their situation straight? There's an old-fashioned way to keep a dress together on the red carpet, but one they might soon ditch thanks to the StrapDoctor. Here's how a crafty lady blueberry farmer could solve irritating bra strap issues for good!
There's a nagging problem that's - literally - on the shoulders of young ladies everywhere. Sliding bra straps, dress straps and tank straps can be an unsightly situation. In a town built on image, that's not a good thing.
The old-school red carpet secret is a double-sided tape. The trick is to apply directly to the garment and stick the other side to a bra or directly to the skin. While it may have famously helped Jennifer Lopez keep her infamous green Versace dress in place at the Grammys, tape is not an ideal situation. You're not a craft project.
"Slipping Bra Strap Syndrome, as we call it, affects over 53 percent of the female population," StrapDoctor creator Paula Fraser quips. "We are now in business to reduce those numbers significantly."
Fraser, a blueberry farmer by trade, didn't have aspirations to be "in the bra business," as she puts it. A mother of three, she devised a solution to fix her own slipping strap and voila! StrapDoctor was born.
WHAT IT IS: StrapDoctor is a small strip of material with microscopic hooks that attach to the underside of any bra strap. The other side of the StrapDoctor is a soft, smooth, non-slip material that provides an invisible hold on the shoulder. They're washable and reusable.
