Presidental 'Butler' Getting the A-List Movie Treatment

If you’re the type of person who looks for a phenomenal cast, amazing producer, and a captivating storyline in your movies, then we have the perfect one for you. The Butler, due out in 2013, covers all these bases and has the potential to win every award out there. The film, directed by Oscar nominee Lee Daniels (Precious), focuses on the story of Eugene Allen, who is now known as the iconic butler who served in the White House for eight presidencies. Allen passed away in 2010 at the old age of 91, after working in the White House for 34 years.

Along with an amazing inspiration, the film also boasts a star-studded cast. Forest Whitaker has been tapped for the lead role of Eugene Allen, and the rest of the cast is strung with popular Hollywood names, including some of our classic favorites, such as Liam Neeson, Robin Williams, John Cusack, and Alan Rickman as presidents Lyndon B. Johnson, Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan, respectively. The cast also features some younger names, including Zac Efron, Minka Kelly (as Jackie Kennedy), and Alex Pettyfer. Oscar winner Jane Fonda will take on the role of Nancy Reagan, and Cuba Gooding, Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Lenny Kravitz, and Mariah Carey are just a few other A-List names attached to the project!

Great producer - CHECK. Fantastic cast - CHECK. Great storyline - CHECK. I know I can’t wait to see how everything plays out when the film hits theaters in 2013. I just wish I didn’t have to wait so long!
