Paint It Like Beckham

Gods walk among us, with faces made for advertising and bodies designed as convenient easels for fashion. Sports icon David Beckham is one such celestial human, and he’s been adding to his enviable canvas for some time now. The newest edition is the word "Love" in cursive script on his left hand in tribute to his wife Victoria and small brood, sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 9, Cruz, 6, and 13-week-old daughter Harper.

Victoria was first to share the news with the world, tweeting "Harper loves Daddy's new tattoo of love", with the accompanying image showing baby Harper clutching the index finger of her superstar dad. Mr. Beckham also posted a picture of the etching on his Facebook page.

 

 

David has over twenty other designs, including Harper’s name etched along his left collarbone, Brooklyn’s name across his lower back, "Romeo" on the base of his neck, and "Cruz" across the middle of his back, as well as wife Victoria's name written in Hindu script along his forearm. Victoria also has several tattoos, including a Roman numeral on her wrist.

We continue to watch transfixed as the beautiful people of the world navigate through public life, painting our world with passion, and themselves in colors sentimental.
