Break the gold chains out of storage and bust a move, yo, its 1980 all over again! Not really.Nor is Dirt Nasty the hardcore rapper his name implies, obviously. It's all an act of course, a parody from the mind of actor-comedian (and former MTV veejay) Simon Rex. If you remember his spoof of Eminem in Scary Movie 4 this new character is basically like a no holds barred version of that. His new single, 1980, is a straight up send up of the decade of decadence, living large, ridiculously oversized donkey chainsù around the neck, partying on the white horse, popping champagne and your collar. The video, posted on FunnyOrDie.com features Mickey Avalon, Andre Legacy, Cisco Adler, Shwayze, DJ AM, and ALF.BE WARNED: Extremely not safe for work. Yes, cover your ears, precious, there are *gasp* swears!Dirt Nasty is definitely adult humor and isn't meant for the kiddies. But that's what makes it funny.
Unlike many video spoofs out there, this is just one of many off an entire CD. The tracks and vids have become popular on his mySpace, and Simon tours as "Dirt Nasty with his group, the Dyslexic Speedreaders. The ironic part is the guy is actually a talented rapper and musician, it's really no joke. The lyrics are funny and Simon has a great sense of humor, but you can honestly get down to his songs. With a good hook and a backbeat, why does music need to be taken so seriously anyway?Ding!--Wes
